My name is Steven Rosenblum your Republican nominee for Florida State Representative, District 89. 
I am a fiscal conservative who will fight to shrink the size and spending of government and keep it out of your way. I will work for an independent forensic audit of our state budget and advocate for zero-based budgeting, so that every department and agency will have to account for every dollar it requests each fiscal year. I have a quality that is painfully absent in many of those who currently serve in our government, common sense.

Florida has vast energy resources and potential and we need to utilize those resources. As a conservative, I believe we need to be good stewards of our environment. I will advocate drilling for oil and natural gas, in environmentally sound ways, as well as using sawgrass to produce ethanol, the building of nuclear power plants and encouraging research to make wind, ocean current, tidal, solar and other alternative sources of power more efficient and economical.

I will protect Florida's rights and sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment. I will also defend your unalienable right to bear arms as guaranteed by the Second Amendment. I hope you will look at the ISSUES, ENDORSEMENTS and BIO pages to learn more about me and where I stand.

Washington, D.C. has gotten out of control and has taken powers not granted to it by the United States Constitution. Unfunded federal mandates are sapping our state's resources and preventing Florida from being the vibrant, economic powerhouse she should be. Those we send to Tallahassee must remind those in Congress and the White House that the States and the PEOPLE grant the Federal government its powers, not the other way around.

We need more common sense, fiscally conservative, citizen representatives in Tallahassee, not more lawyers and career politicians.
